Who we are
Since 2014, we’ve been making small, efficient Bitcoin miners available for home and educational use. When major manufacturers like Bitmain stopped producing such devices, we joined forces in the bitcointalk forum – together with friends and partners like GekkoScience and thesolomining.co – and have been developing and selling our own miners ever since. Today, we are by far the most experienced provider in the European market for small home and open-source Bitcoin miners.
- 2014: We produce the first open source hardware and software USB stick miners: the now hardly known NanoFury series NF1, NF2 and NF6.
- 2015: The first USB miner manufactured entirely in Germany is released: the GekkoScience Compac Edition bitshopper.de
- 2017: We become the exclusive reseller of Futurebit.io in Europe.
- 2019: Together with GekkoScience, we are launching new pod miners, controllers and mining hubs.
- 2023: We begin manufacturing the Bitaxe in different versions.
- 2024: In cooperation with thesolomining.co, we are expanding our product range to include high-quality accessories and components for DIY projects, tuning, and improved cooling.
Our Mission Statement
“Everyone should be able to mine Bitcoin decentrally, quietly and energy-efficiently at home – whether as a hobby, for education or as an entry into true self-custody. At bitshopper.de you don’t just get hardware – you get an international community, openness and over 10 years of first-hand Bitcoin mining experience.”

- Apollo III Full Node: Free ASIC Upgrade for All Pre-Order Customers
TL;DR for readers in a hurry: Futurebit has significantly improved the Apollo III ASICs. All existing Apollo […]
