Description

Futurebit Apollo II

The APOLLO II is the culmination of almost a decade of work at Futurebit. The new interpretation of the successful Apollo BTC was developed as a system that offers the user the entire Bitcoin tool set in an easy-to-use package that anyone can run at home.

The APOLLO II Mining Desktop has been redesigned from the ground up. A mining desktop computer with modern 5 NM ASIC chips, a powerful ARM processor with up to 2 TB NVMe SSD and a power supply with 450 watts of power were integrated into a 6-inch (15.24 cm) aluminum housing.

The mining desktop achieves a performance of approx. 10 TH/s with an energy efficiency of approx. 28 W/TH at about 400 W power consumption.

You can use your APOLLO II Full Node as a personal Linux desktop. With its powerful ARM processor and up to 2 TB of super-fast NVMe, you always have the entire Bitcoin blockchain at hand and even more: in addition to the full node already known from the Apollo BTC, the APOLLO II has its own pre-installed STRATUM solo mining pool integrated.

The APOLLO II is available in the following versions:

APOLLO II FULL NODE

  • 10 TH/s mining performance
  • Full node with its own pre-installed STRATUM solo mining pool
  • Linux desktop system

The flagship full-node product is a plug-and-play system equipped with an integrated modern ARM-based controller with 4GB of RAM and up to 2TB of SSD storage. The new Apollo OS 2.0 is pre-installed with integrated solo mining  directly on your node!

Plug and play and ready to use

  • Connect a monitor to it or configure the full node via Ethernet
  • Automatically starts syncing a full Bitcoin node
  • Apollo OS 2.0 is based on the modern Linux operating system Ubuntu 22
  • Solo mining on your own pre-installed Stratum solo pool

APOLLO II STANDARD

This is the USB miner-only version of the product. Simply plug in the included micro USB cable into the back and connect it to your first generation Apollo II or Apollo BTC Full Node device to increase your hashing power.

You can pair the Apollo II Standard USB with any Windows or Linux PC or SBC such as a Raspberry Pi. If you already have a full node system or computer, this is a great way to add hashing power to your home setup and start mining.

Upgradeability built in

During development, attention was paid to upgradeability. Do you already own a FutureBit Apollo BTC? Futurebit has made the Apollo II standard unit backwards compatible with the Apollo Gen 1 Full Node unit. Simply connect the Apollo II Standard unit to the original Apollo and you can start mining with improved hash performance!

Quadruple your hash rate with a single unit upgrade

  • Total 8TH/s at 300 watts in ECO mode
  • Up to 13TH/s at 600 watts in TURBO mode
  • Combine up to three Apollo II units for nearly 30 TH/s hashpower

The new Apollo OS 2.0

In 2018, FutureBit was the first to provide a user-friendly UX experience with modern features such as built-in WiFi for home mining. With the operating system now almost five years old, Futurebit decided to rebuild the entire user experience from the ground up, creating a modern look that paves the way for the future.

The power of having your own Stratum Solo Pool on your desk

With just a single setting change, your Apollo Full Node instantly becomes its own stratum pool, mining directly on your integrated node.

Mine solo with your Apollo and try to win the solo mining lottery by finding an entire Bitcoin block, or deploy your own pool in seconds and connect one or more Bitcoin miners to it.

Pools are no longer centralized to the few, but the power of Bitcoin mining is now made available to the masses.
