Description

Conversion kit for 2.42″ SSD1309 OLED displays with 128 x 64 pixels for Bitaxe Ultra, Supra Gamma Open Source Bitcoin Miner

Tired of the tiny 0.91″ OLED display that Bitaxe Open Source Bitcoin miners come with as standard? We have the solution: our new conversion kit with a 2.42″ SSD1309 OLED display with 128 x 64 pixel resolution.

The conversion kit comes with a stylish, milled and coated aluminum mount and display cover, as well as all necessary mounting materials. Depending on the model and manufacturer, different screws and spacers are required.

No soldering skills are required: the large display is plugged onto the circuit board using the included angle adapter and data cable in the same way as the original display.

The larger display supports the display of additional data such as WIFI signal strength, best share and uptime.

The conversion is very simple:

  • Depending on the manufacturer, the board is attached to the bracket either with M3 screws from the bottom or from the top. For boards mounted from the top, we include M3 threaded rods that can be used to connect the included aluminum spacers to the board.
  • For standard heatsinks with spring bolts, one of the included aluminum spacers is sufficient for mounting. Instead of the spring bolt, we recommend using one or two of the included M3 wafer head screws with the included 0.4 mm PP spacers.
  • For heatsinks with M3 thread, the 10 mm aluminum spacers can be used directly
  • When using the ICE Tower heatsink, the existing screws can be reused. The spacers are installed instead of the M3 (cap) nuts.
  • The 90° display adapter is simply plugged onto the board in place of the existing original display. If the original display is soldered, it must first be thoroughly de-oiled (ideally via the back of the board) and the contacts must be cleaned of solder. However, very few manufacturers ship Bitaxe miners with a soldered display.
  • For assembly you will need: A PH 1 Phillips screwdriver, a 2 mm hexagon or T6 Torx screwdriver
  • Starting with the AxeOS version 2.8.0, the SSD1309 display is natively supported. After installation, simply change the display orientation (180°) in AxeOS and select the SSD1309 display type – and you’re done.
